Calculating Life: An eulogy to Maths

This post “Calculating Life: An eulogy to Maths” is about my perception and times with one of the most elementary and inseparable subject of any academic genre – Mathematics. I am currently in my fourth semester of Engineering, which is also the last semester in which I will study Maths. I won’t be studying Maths any further in life and it is this woe of detachment with it which made me write this blog post. I’ll share my perspective as to how it has taught me life

Yesterday and Tomorrow

Due to unanticipated high results in the 2nd SEM, I am on the verge of getting a “Branch Change” in the college. Practically seeing, it’s a positive and straight forward happening, but for the heart within me, it’s a robust gust of emotions with lots of uncertainties swirling within it. I started off in DDU as an IT Engineer and now I am on the verge of being transformed into a Computer Engineer. Yesterday I was an ITian and tomorrow’s sun might make me a CEian. All these emotions packaged in this blog post.

“IT” is my name and not “SOFTWARE”

. The designation “Software Engineer” is often used by the mass and is a disastrous misnomer for an “IT Engineer”. The difference between a “Software Engineer” and an “IT Engineer” is as off the mark as between a “MASON” (Gujarati: “Kadiyo”) and a “Civil Engineer”. Why and How are the two questions which an Engineer asks for every statement made. Being an Engineer I will answer both “WHY” and “HOW” for this topic of mine.
