Hello everybody, hope everybody is doing great. Awaiting the proper onset of rains. Am here with a poem this time. It has already been published in the Teen Magazine online, now sharing it on the blog. Had composed this in Heat Power lecture in the college.
Distance is the biggest villain when it comes to relationships.
We all are separated by somebody whom we love, be it our relatives, cousins, friends or our beloved. Distance is the barrier.. After entering the college, distance posed numerous challenges in way of get togather. While some were in the same city where as some in all togather a different state. Still, we friends managed to remain connected. Be it through calls, sms, or anything.. We didn’t let this DISTANCE take a toll over the bond we shared. And yes, I take pride in declaring that we defeated distance.
Initially I had composed this poem keeping PAism in perspective, but then I found it apt for my friends and anybody who is separated from his loved ones. Here I go:
Miles Apart, yet conjoined into one,
Miles, though huge in number, but successful none.
Though in different universes, together we’re seated,
See distance, you’re defeated.
Miles, though huge in number, but successful none.
Though in different universes, together we’re seated,
See distance, you’re defeated.
We’ve moon to witness our union,
We’ve sun to enlighten our timely separation,
The messenger wind too by us is enchanted,
See distance, you’re defeated.
One in tears and one in smiles,
O distance, do you have such miles?
It’s the waves which have kept us connected,
See distance, you’re defeated.
It’s time that ONE DAY is near,
Our pain will end and it’s time for you to fear.
The moment is not away for which we’ve awaited,
See distance, you’re defeated.
