Hello Pals, blogging just before the 2nd Internals exams of 2nd Semester. This blog of mine is not an article or column, its a poem. On I Believe, I’m sure you might have read amazing poems from my friend Prathmesh who’s a very able poet. Not many people know that I am a part-time poet too. I don’t compose masterpieces as Prathmesh does, but yes I do explicate my feelings through poems occasionally. Few weeks back I was dozing off in the Electronics lecture which was quite not in my favor. Had my eyelids betrayed me at the wrong time, I would have been a delicious prey to the student hungry professor. I had to do something to shoo away my slumber, so decided to compose a poem, a poem full of desires.<\/p>\n

This poem of mine titled-” I wish I had” is a very small poem which conveys my desire to posses 5 elements of Nature- Earth, Fire,Wind,Water and Sky to do those things lucidly which are seemingly impossible from human perspective. Here I go:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With burden and pressure on head,<\/p>\n

We have nothing but tears to shed,<\/p>\n

Partial differentiation goes too partial,<\/p>\n

And there is integration to maul,<\/p>\n

I wish I had earth to take in all.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With mark sheets filled with shoddy numbers,<\/p>\n

With newspapers reporting the countrymen in slumber,<\/p>\n

With bank pass-books showing dwarf and lofty balance,<\/p>\n

With the husband-wife\u2019s argument turning to a salacious brawl,<\/p>\n

I wish I had fire to burn it all.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

To a friend waiting for the other at a coffee shop,<\/p>\n

To a mother waiting her son\u2019s arrival from the workshop,<\/p>\n

To a thirty\u2019s throat anticipating a raindrop,<\/p>\n

To a beloved waiting for the better-half\u2019s call,<\/p>\n

I wish I had wind to convey a response to all.<\/p>\n

For the struggler to reach the other end,<\/p>\n

For the drowning to reach from water to sand,<\/p>\n

For the ailing to rise from the death bed,<\/p>\n

For the eloped couple to reach the marriage hall,<\/p>\n

I wish I had water to deliver them all.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A glimpse to cherish expectations in parents’ eyes,<\/p>\n

A glimpse to enchant those friendly hies,<\/p>\n

A glimpse that appalls someone’s fall;<\/p>\n

A glimpse to embrace love in a red shawl,<\/p>\n

I wish I had sky to encompass this all…<\/p>\n
